Balboa Hospital Wounded Warriors

On November 27th, the Blue Star Mom's will decorate trees at Balboa Naval Hospital for 188 wounded warriors, most are Marines back from Afghanistan. If you want join me, give me call or email. ID is required along with pre-registration with our group president (name on the list as it appears on your drivers license).  Carpooling is suggested, but not necessary.

This is my Patriotic Christmas Tree 2009 (photo by Shannon) in honor of Daniel joining the Army! This year he will celebrate with the Big Red One in Iraq.  BTW - Shannon's friend Annie's sister Sgt Marri Flores is in Danny's unit. Small world???  I'll be getting his Christmas Box together just after Thanksgiving if you'd like to add a card or small item to it let me know.

The family is on their own for Thanksgiving this year, I'll be with one of my BF's Polly Arndt meeting some new friends.  I pray yours is blessed. Our family Christmas is December 4th in Newport Beach at a beautiful resort.  We will miss Jason, Shannon, Shelby and Jaden.  Brandy, Bryan and possibly Kailey will join us.  Oh the fun! Hoping to Skype with Dan.  I have George W. Bush's new book "Talking Points" to read and I may learn to use my camera!  Time for some needed RNR!

I am thankful for the family and friends who are praying for Danny and our family while he is deployed.  Please thank a veteran for his/her service, they may be alone missing family at this time of the year.
